ACIP-NUDSC, Civil Engineering Department tag along for a team building

The American Concrete Institute of the Philippines - National University Student Council tagged along with Civil Engineering Department for a team Building with the theme “Concrete Relationship: Believe in the Team” which happened on June 08, 2022, at NU-D Function Hall.

The event started with a prayer and the singing of the national anthem. Dr. Ernell Gutierrez, program chair of Business Administration Department, did the opening remarks. The officers then, provided games to form a bond with their “ka-CE” on different sections which let them showcase their skills and talents in concrete engineering. Games such as “bridge design,” “surbee,” “newspaper tower design,” “blind fold bring me,” and “CEnetch Itey” of BSCE were among the ones played.

Ms. Gabrielle Famorca, president of PICE-NUD, and Mr. Frederick Del Mundo IX, president of ACIP-NUDSC, together with their advisers, Engr. Rodelson Cua, and Engr. Gerardo Justo, explained the purpose and importance of these organizations and mentioned the ways on how to join them.

During the team building, ACIP-NUDSC also presented their officers for the month of May, Pres. Frederick Del Mundo IX and Sec. Mitzi Mae Sadiwa. Afterwards, the winners of the games received their prizes and certificates with small tokens of appreciation were given to the participants.

At the end, ACIP-NUDSC thanked the students who participated and supported the entire event including the faculty members of Civil Engineering headed by their program chair, Engr. Jucar Fernandez, PICE-NUD adviser, Engr. Rodelson Cua, and ACIP-NUD adviser, Engr. Gerardo Justo.

The ACIP-NUD Officers proposed this team building to provide an overview of the ACIP-NUD and PICE-NUD Organizations to Civil Engineering Students and to encourage the students to be a member of the said orgainzations.
