JPIA-NUD holds its first face-to-face Orientation: Welcome

The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) of NU Dasmarinas holds its first face-to-face orientation on June 13, 2022, at the Function Hall of NU Dasmarinas. Among the activities accomplished in the orientation are inspiring speeches from the heads, discussion of the retention policy and distribution of awards to the top academic performers. Several students of the Accountancy department attended the program.

The opening remarks was delivered by Dr. Noli G. Valera, NUD academic director. He gave some insights about accountancy as a college degree and tips on how to pass the board exam. Afterwards, Mr. Orlando Manalang, the program chair of Accountancy, discussed the retention policy with the students who were currently enrolled in the said program. “There are two qualifying exams that you will encounter, the first one will be taken before you enter the school term for the second year, and the other one is when you will be continuing the third year,” he said.

At the end, Mr. Orlando Manalang, together with Mr. Arzell T. Aterrado, faculty of accountancy department, distributed the awards to the top academic performers and achievers of the accountancy program. The student achievers in the previous term were also given recognition and awards.
